Meditate - Only way out is 'in'!!

"Relax. Release. Invite. Allow. Dissolve. Activate. Energize"... (i.e. Meditate. Few minute at each step with that intent - helps).


Someone asked what did I mean by this one-liner! So here goes the loooong patience testing explanation to the above:
  1. Relax: Start with this step. Put the intent of relaxing into each and every part of your body, one by one. Preferably and consciously loosen up that part. The idea is to loosen up and not hold back and remove all guards from the physical body. No guarding required. No protection required. You are safe. Relax. Don't hold back, just chill. Imagine any blockages from your body removed. Prepare to 'receive'. Relax. Focus on breath. Let the body lose. And...did I say umm...- relax. If you are sitting let your body kinda balance itself out. If you are lying down, feel the contact of that surface with your body. Feel the weight. Don't let your muscles hold
    weight of any part. Let the gravity do its job. Let it fall. Minimize all potential energy of your body and your muscles. Get to zero tightness in all your muscles. Surrender yourself to the surface completely that you are sitting or lying on.The only effort that you should be making now is to breathe and 'observe' your body breathing. All muscles loose..as much as you are comfortable with..you may feel 'zoning out'...get back to 'observing' your body breathe, yes as a third person.. you observing your body breathe... Now you are totally relaxed. This instinct is inherent in Sacred Male...to relax, chill, take it easy, keep it cool (for my Hindu friends - imagine Shiva relaxing on Kailash, Vishnu on Khirsagar, Sleeping Buddha, The Yin part in Yang...). Dont worry about the time...doesn't matter..3-4 minutes or 30-40 minutes...or 300 - 400 minutes..whichever..just relax. Chill.
  2. Release: Let go. Put this intent to release any emotional blockages. All stress to melt away. Imagine (yes, its all in the mind)..so imagine all anger, worry, guilt, fear, shame, stress, tensions melting away and slipping into the surface you are sitting or lying down on. Let the ground soak them up. 'Ground' those energies. Let mama earth take it all from you and support you fully! Like a child finding solace in mom's arms. Yes, Go into mama earth's arms, let her take those emotional energies from you and set you free. free...free..free.. Trust her, fall into her lap. You are supported. Get into child - mom relationship at its best. Dream away. 3-4 minutes, 30-40 minutes or 300 - 400 minutes...time is not of concern..whatever you are comfortable with. Let that comfort guide you. You are the sacred child. You are the Kanha, you are the little Ganesha..transition your mind and instincts from Sacred male state to sacred child state (Infant Jesus, Kanha, Ganesha, little buddha..), go to the Sacred female (Shakti, Parvati, Sarasvati.....).
  3. Invite: Prepare to receive 'all the best' things. Abundance, Love, Health, Wealth, Wisdom, Joy, Manifestations, Creativity, Bodha, Siddhi...which ever. Get into the zone of selflessly receiving the love from mom, the big mom, sacred female. Prepare to receive the best positive energies, intents, emotions, gifts..Invite those in. Send the invitation for all that out into the ether, into the universe, into the supreme...whatever makes you feel expressing selflessly and opening up to receiving.
  4. Allow: Trust your instincts on what ever you are receiving. Allow it to come. No judgements. Receive those like a child receives nourishment from mom. Receive those with love and gratitude, no matter what they are. Even if you don't yet know what they are! Don't let your rational need to know resist the receiving! Even if you cant see feel hear smell taste touch what you are receiving, be thankful of that and allow your energy body to receive all that. Trust. Complete trust. Faith. What you receive in such a state from the big mama, its only good. Don't use your five senses to judge. Just trust. The five senses are not capable of comprehending exactly what you are receiving, so those senses are going to try and make whatever sense out of that. None, One, Many or All of those senses may be stimulated and you may interpret it in some way. Its alright. Trust it, accept it anyway you see or don't see it. Some hear bells, some get goosebumps, some sense smells, some don't sense anything. All of those are ok! There is not good bad less more...its 'just right' for 'you'!. Trust it!!
  5. Dissolve: At this point of time the intention is that you are only observing your breath.
    Witnessing your body's action of breathing. So much so, that thats the only thing there is. There is no physical existence. You are almost bodyless. You are "only the breath" that you are observing. You are least aware of what is going around you, on the other parts of your body. Your body has dissolved away. You have dissolved away. Only the feeling of exhaling (Ssssoooo..) and feeling of inhaling (Hummm.....) are left out. The feeling of 'Soham' (Or Hong-Sa, or Hmmmm-Sssss). Sohum (=स: + अहम् = He is me). You are one with the rest of the universe (अहम् ब्रह्मास्मि). You are the drop in the ocean. You are the ocean. There is no difference. Don't lose heart if you don't feel any of this. If you want to continue, just 'imagine' it. Its only a matter of time. Don't rush it. Trust that you are at the right level (if there is anything like that...) for yourself. Also, don't get mired into any fundas here either! Just go with your instincts. None of the male female deity religion aspects matter much .... after all God is gender-less, Universe is gender-less, Only energy! Rest all are man made fundas that may or may not help you!! So focus on your inner self.. Breathe... So-Hum! Your attention to the breath is key. Your breath (key ingredient air and Prana) is universe's life trigger.
  6. Activate: Start to recognize this new 'you'. Activate the positive energies that you now sense. Also those that you received. Multiply them. Use a large dial in your head to crank them up. Use colors to enhance their existence. If you did not feel anything, don't waste your rational thoughts on it at all. Just imagine your favorite memory from the past and continue. Use smells, feels...etc. Start recognizing the physical existence of that energy now manifesting the new body for you, start that at the bottom. Feel energized, warm at the bottom, See Red..as you go up manifesting those energies you received in form of the new refreshed physical 'you' part by part (7 of those), put the colors to your imagination in the order of rainbow colors bottom to top ROYGBIV (vibgyor) with Violet at the crown and red at the bottom.
  7. Energize: Feel the energy from bottom to top. Feel that feeling effervescent throughout. Get and intend complete freshness. Joy. Happiness. Exhilaration. Now go outwards to wake back up. Recognize the room you started your meditation in (without opening the eyes). Become
    aware of things around you (or the sounds of silence around you). Open your eye slowly. Feel the satisfaction. The cool feeling on your face...that slight breeze on your face...and the parts exposed to air. Feel full with energy, ready to take on the rest of the day head on. Execute any and all task with full devotion and focus. Handle any challenge head on. This is the Sacred female instinct. The big mom. Be thankful of that divine female in you. The yang part of yin.
All said and done, listen to your heart. Do what that says. Do what your instincts tell you to do while meditating. No rules is the first rule as long as you are relaxing, mentally, physically! As long as you get started and remember the essence of the basics above...and focus on breath...don't bind this into a 'rule' of this or that..go with your instincts and slowly you will recognize and realize that you are being guided anyway!!
