Sohum - सोहम् Q.E.D

Many of us learned that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can change from one form to another. Total energy of an isolated system will always remain constant. We have come to accept as scientific gospel. True beauty of that concept turns into an 'aha' moment when we look back 13.7B years. It all started with that big bang. That energy, since then, has only been changing forms. From Quasars to Quarks, Galaxies to Muons & Bosons, all same. Humans, Animal, Plants..all same, ONE & INFINITE at the same time. Well, at least until we figure out what happened just before and at big bang and/ or change the theory of conservation of energy. You may challenge that the laws break down at a singularity, but once it's past that, once the energy of big bang is in the isolated system, it is the same energy.

I would like to choose to see the beauty of that oneness & differences at the same time, beauty of that illusion, and let go of the perception of disparity or illusion of separateness. I choose to believe that you and I ARE same as Him. सोSहम, सः+अहम्। No difference.

We have created so many separate little 'i's, egos, today...why..? There is no I. You lose identity. And when you do, you realize that it is what you were supposed to let go in the first place. There is no I am 'this' or I am 'that'.

Now that we are all the same, the need for 'comparison' ceases to exist. There is no simile, no metaphor, no comparison. You don't compare same things. You run out of things to compare with! Who do you compare the universe to? Another universe? Hmm? You are the universe. I am..what..? No metaphors, again. All available metaphors are already taken and included in the 'set'. 13.7B years of reorganization of energy shouldn't change that fact! अहम् ब्रह्मास्मि makes better sense to my naive rational mind.

Now, That is who I AM. That my friend is who YOU are. Seriously, who am I to dispute that? But remember, before you ask that question, ask yourself who is asking that question!!! ;-)
